Magic Background generates a new environment while Clearcut keeps your cutout separate. You describe the setting in your own words. A useful prompt focuses on the surface, lighting, camera angle, and empty space rather than asking the model to recreate your subject.
Before you start
Finish your cutout and choose its main position first. With scene matching enabled, Clearcut sends a smaller reference of the composition to the generation service. Avoid sending sensitive images unless that provider processing is appropriate for your use.
Step by step
- Open Background → Magic after background removal finishes.
- Write a specific setting, such as: “Empty pale-gray photography studio, floor-level surface, soft light from the left, subtle wall-to-floor transition, no props or text.”
- Leave Match scene to subject on to guide the background using your cutout and placement. Turn it off when you want an independent backdrop.
- Generate once and inspect the result. Each completed generation uses three credits. A new prompt or regenerated scene is another paid operation.
- Review the horizon, scale, and contact shadow, then download the finished composition.
Check the result
Generated scenes can contain unexpected objects, inconsistent lighting, or an unsuitable perspective. The subject’s original reflections and lighting remain. Scene matching guides the result; it does not perform a full 3D reconstruction or relight the subject.
Keep in mind
For a vehicle, describe an empty parking surface and a camera angle that matches the photo. For products, specify a tabletop and soft studio light. Generate again after a large change in subject placement if the old background no longer fits.
