Using Clearcut
Clearcut provides automatic background removal, image editing and an API, provided by chern0.dev, 71000 Sarajevo. Contact support@clearcut.sh about these terms. Use the service only if you can enter a binding agreement under the laws that apply to you, or with the authorization of a parent, guardian or organization that can. Keep your account details accurate and protect your password and API keys.
Your images and permissions
You keep the rights you have in your uploaded content. You give Clearcut permission to process and temporarily store it, and to use the service providers needed to perform your requested edits. This permission does not let us use your images in advertisements.
You are responsible for having the rights and permissions needed to upload, edit and use an image, including permission concerning people shown in it. Background removal does not remove copyright, trademark, privacy or other rights. AI-generated content may contain errors or resemble other content; we do not guarantee exclusivity or ownership rights in generated elements.
Accounts, free use and fair use
Verified accounts receive 30 free credits per calendar month, shared by the website and API. They renew on the first of each month at 00:00 UTC, do not roll over, and are used before purchased credits. One allowance per person; duplicate accounts and email aliases do not create additional allowances. Previously issued signup credits keep their original terms. The separate free website allowance is subject to the daily limits shown on the site. Do not create accounts or rotate identities to bypass limits, share stolen credentials, interfere with other users, probe private data or use the service for unlawful or abusive content. We may limit or suspend requests to address abuse, security incidents or unpaid balances.
Plans and credits
The pricing page and checkout show the price, included credits, billing period and any tax before purchase. Different operations use different amounts of credit. Ordinary manual editing and downloads do not use additional credits. Optional AI operations can use credits even when they edit an existing image.
Subscription credits expire 60 days after each grant; they do not roll over indefinitely. One-time credit packs have no scheduled expiry. Promotional credits may have a stated expiry. Credits are an allowance to use Clearcut, not money or transferable stored value.
Subscriptions renew until canceled. Use the billing portal linked from your account to stop future renewals. Cancellation does not itself refund earlier payments or change the stated expiry of existing credits. See refunds and cancellation.
Temporary files and service limits
Images expire after 60 minutes, including for paid accounts. Download results you want to keep. A payment does not buy permanent file storage.
We work to provide useful results, but output quality depends on the image and settings. We do not promise perfect cutouts, a fixed processing time or uninterrupted availability. Queue and size limits apply. Check results before using them in an important workflow.
Problems, changes and your rights
Contact support@clearcut.sh if processing, credits or billing appear wrong. We may change features or limits as the service develops. Changes to a paid offer will be communicated before they apply where required; the price and terms shown at your purchase remain relevant to that purchase.
Nothing in these terms excludes mandatory consumer rights or liability that cannot legally be excluded. If there is a conflict with applicable law, that law takes priority. The privacy policy explains how we handle your information, and Polar’s buyer terms apply to payments processed through its checkout.
