When processing fails
If a charged operation fails, Clearcut returns the credits reserved for that operation to their original credit grant, with its original expiry. A refund to an expired monthly allowance does not extend it. Repeating a still-running request does not make it finish sooner. If a completed result has a problem, contact support@clearcut.sh with its job ID and a description. A credit return restores your Clearcut balance; it is not a refund to your payment method.
Payment refunds
To request a payment refund, email support@clearcut.sh with your account email, order number and the reason for your request. We review billing errors, duplicate charges and other requests individually, taking account of applicable law and the circumstances. A support request does not guarantee a refund, and this policy does not limit rights you have under consumer law.
Approved refunds are processed through Polar to the original payment method, subject to its payment process and your bank’s timing. Full or partial refunds remove the corresponding credits. If those credits have already been used, the adjustment can reduce your remaining or future balance.
Cancel a subscription
Open your account and choose the billing portal to cancel future renewal. Cancellation and refund requests are separate. Existing subscription credits keep their original expiry date; unused subscription credits expire 60 days after they were granted. One-time credit packs do not renew.
Expired files
Clearcut is an editing service, not file storage. Images expire after 60 minutes even when credits were used to process them. We cannot restore expired files. Download results before expiry and contact us if a service fault prevented you from doing so.
Checkout terms and consumer rights
Polar acts as merchant of record for purchases. Its buyer terms also apply. Any withdrawal or refund rights that apply by law remain available; this page does not create an automatic waiver of those rights.
