Faster removals, a lighter editor and Magic Background in seconds

  • Background removal sends the model only the 1024 × 1024 copy it works on, instead of your full image. Cutouts are pixel-for-pixel the same.
  • Results are saved in parallel, and the editor checks for finished images more often.
  • Choosing a file now starts preparing an image processor while your upload is still in progress. Opening a page does not, and no image is sent until you upload one.
  • The editor shows lighter WebP copies of your image and cutout, at most 2048 pixels wide. A 12.5 MP photo now loads 558 KB in the editor instead of 23.8 MB. Downloads keep full resolution.
  • Magic Background uses a new model, FLUX.3 Klein. In our tests it finished in 1.5–4 seconds; the previous model took 39–76 seconds and sometimes failed. Backgrounds are about 1 megapixel. It still costs 3 credits.
  • Free Fast processing accepts standard 12 MP phone photos such as 4032 × 3024, which were rejected before. Larger photos are resized on your device to fit the free limit; JPEG and PNG photos keep their format. Images processed with credits are not resized.
  • API: finished jobs include original_preview_url and result_preview_url for on-screen previews. See the job reference.
